AES 141st Convention
AES L.A. 2016 “was a runaway success,” proclaimed Phil Wagner, President of exhibitor Focusrite Novation Inc. “We were busy non-stop the entire time with high-quality clientele. It will be memorable as one of the busiest shows ever.” The 141st Convention was the place to be if you wanted to listen, learn and connect with the movers and shakers of the audio industry. The exhibition floor, panels and technical sessions were crowded throughout the show with over 250 brands represented in the exhibits hall and over 13,000 registered attendees. The convention received praise from attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and collaborative organizations alike, and with over 200 presentations from over 650 leading researchers and practitioners in the field, AES Los Angeles provided an unprecedented convention experience. “I was really impressed by the amazing program our Convention committee assembled this year – featuring industry le gends and leading innovators, and setting a record for paid registrations,” stated Executive Director, Bob Moses.
AES 143rd Convention
The AES East Coast convention in 2017 will be co-located with NAB Show New York at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The AES Convention will be held October 18–21, 2017 and NAB Show New York will be held October 18–19, 2017. The adjacent location of these events creates the most comprehensive and largest media and entertainment event held on the East Coast with over 600 exhibitors. “Audio is the expertise of the AES, and NAB Show New York highlights expertise in video and content distribution. For today’s media professionals, it makes perfect sense for these two events to take place side-by-side, complementing each other’s missions, benefiting each other’s memberships and increasing the opportunities for all attendees,” said Bob Moses, Executive Director of AES.
AES 142nd Convention
Papers chairs of the upcoming Berlin convention, Thomas Sporer and Brett Leonard, are looking forward to considering your proposals for papers and engineering briefs. Proposals describing work in any area of audio engineering and its related arts and sciences will be considered for inclusion in convention sessions. A detailed list of proposed topics is given in the Call for Papers and the submission site will be open shortly.
The convention committee is also eager to hear about proposals for workshops and tutorials.
